There are some options that you have when you are looking to purchase a diamond engagement ring for that special lady in your life. There are the pricier diamonds and there are Cubic Zirconia. While I bought my wife her engagement ring and it was a real diamond, and to be honest I dropped quite a bit of money on it, some of my friends have opted to go with a Cubic Zirconia. When they showed me the ring (before they gave it to their fiancé) I was really unable to tell the difference. Now I am certain that perhaps a gemologist would be able to easily distinguish between a real diamond or a Cubic Zirconia. However, I think that it is safe to say that most people would not. What we can tell the difference in very easily, however, is the prices between the two. I pulled a cool picture of a Cubic Zirconia from online (upper left). Can you tell the difference as to whether or not this is a real diamond or a Cubic Zirconia?
