I have a friend who always gets fashion jewelry for Valentines Day. It is her husbands tradition to buy some sort of jewelry as a gift and a dinner out. My friend anticipates what kind of bauble her husband will get her every year. The fashion jewelry I have seen on her from her husband is always very pretty and unique. Through the years, he has given her sterling silver earrings and necklaces, a set of pink pearl earrings and various bracelets. They have a daughter that gets some simple jewelry from dad too, like charms for her charm bracelet or earrings. I think this is a sweet tradition and you can never go wrong with giving jewelry for any type occasion, so it is always a win, win for him. I personally love sterling silver and through the years have received lovely pieces for Valentines Day and my birthday. I do remember when I received each gift.
